When life hands you tomatoes, make fresh tomato juice, and add vodka – or something like that.
“I have many leather-bound books and my apartment smells of rich mahogany.” That’s what I was starting to feel like every time I checked the site. Four years of the same, and beginning to look to me like an old study, I could practically smell the musty books.
So don’t be alarmed – this is still your beloved site, just wearing her Summer clothes, with a bit of light and air added. I’ve been planning and wanting to revamp the site for ages, and while this is not what I had in mind, until the real site can be revealed, I had to make a change.
Fresh dill is quickly climbing my list of “add to all food.” It’s threatening mayo, but not yet overtaking her, that’s probably impossible. Four big games this weekend calls for a serious sandwich, and this is it. The only word that came to mind when building, and then eating this monster… Obscene!
It happened you guys. Call it a gust of wind in my sails. A wind beneath my wings. A fire under my butt. The dawning of a new day.
Maybe it’s the killer Redskins game I went to on Monday. The hustle, bustle, and merriment of the holiday season. Or just more sleep. Whatever it is, like my boy Constanza says, “I’m back, baby!”
I’m super-mega pumped to bring you some great holiday ideas and recipes in the coming month, so let’s get started!
We survived the election, Thanksgiving came and went, we’re in the thick of a crappy football season (well, some of us), and the Christmas season has descended upon us out of no where. Who’s ready for a drink?
