Attention ladies and gents – Valentine’s Day is around the corner, and you are about to be given the tools for a delectable sweet that will have your sweet thinking you are: a. thoughtful b. a great cook and c. not at all concerned with the size of their ass!
Following last year’s Easiest Cookies You’ll Ever Make, these bad boys are the easiest truffles you’ll ever make.
Three ingredients. Minimal effort. Maximum taste.
Just commit to having a little patience as they chill, and you’ll be good to go.
If you can find that lovely little container of chocolate disks that melts to perfection in the microwave – use it! You’ll cut down on melting chocolate and the mess that follows after.
Warning – they are incredibly easy to consume in large quantities. I’m not a big chocolate fan and I could have probably eaten a whole tray myself.
Ingredients:
1 package (18 oz) Oreo cookies
1 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
1 container Chocolate Melts
Directions:
In the bowl of a food processor, pulse the Oreo cookies until they are coarsely chopped. Add cream cheese and continue to pulse until they are well-combined.
Roll into 1-inch balls and place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet.
Refrigerate until firm, 4 hours, or optimally, overnight.
Melt chocolate according to package. Dip balls into chocolate and place on waxed paper lined trays to harden.
Chill and serve cold.
I am so making these this weekend 🙂
so i was wondering how many would this make
It makes about 30 balls, more or less depending on how large you roll them. Thanks for checking them out! 🙂
thanks i am so trying this out this weekend
These sound so amazing and super easy!!! And they are SO CUTE!!!!
Hey! So I am a college student and I was thinking do you think these would make it in a box for like 2 or 3 days? I was thinking of sending some to my friends and they are in different states.
Thanks!
Hey Jackie, They will definitely hold up for about a week. They should ship well since it’s cold, just wouldn’t recommend it in warmer months 🙂 I keep them at room temp and they held nicely.
Hello, this looks yummy.
Question. I live on a small island and I’m not sure what chocolate melts are. Haven’t seen them in our small store. Can you suggest something else to use for the coating? Maybe melted chocolate chips?
Thanks
Any kind of melting chocolate would work great. If you see chocolate discs they would work best. Thanks for stopping by!
Just made some of these for my girlfriend for valentines. thank you very much, they are delicious!
so i tried it today and it came out great just a little too sweet for my taste but everyone in my family loves it thanks for the great idea
Oreo wrapped in chocolate, how can you go wrong! Love the photos, thank you.

WOW. These look amazing…and importantly they don’t require any actual baking, which is perfect for me as everything seems to go wrong in the oven!

oh wow.. these look delicious… I’m def. going to make them. Would you recommend melting dark chocolate instead of milk chocolate?
I use milk chocolate, only because I don’t care for dark. But I would imagine using dark would work as well.

I’ve been making these for years… You can use vanilla almond bark instead of look chocolate also.. I use mint Oreos and dabbled some peppermint extract with the almond bark and some green food color. Crushed up candy canes on top adds a little something extra. Also, golden Oreos with almond bark and crushed up walnut on top = DELICIOUS!
Kelsee, that sounds delicious! Will have to try it that way. Thanks for sharing!
*milk chocolate.
Yum! Those look scrumptious!
I don’t own or know anyone with a food processor. Do you think a blender will work just as well?
A good high speed blender might work.
This is a really great inexpensive food processor that you might look into – http://www.amazon.com/Black-Decker-FP1600B-8-Cup-Processor/dp/B0038KPRG6

You can use white chocolate, too. That’s what I usually do, and they are AWESOME.
i’ve made this with brownies insted of oreos, i love them both.
My friend introduced these to me as Texas Truffles, we’ve decided to call them PMS pills, LOL. Good stuff any time of the month!

This recipe works well for Nutter Butter cookies as well! Sub Nutter Butter for Oreos and softened peanut butter for cream cheese.
I was wondering if I could use that picture for my website?
I’d be happy for you to use it. Please link back to this post. Thank you!
