Oreo Truffles

Attention ladies and gents – Valentine’s Day is around the corner, and you are about to be given the tools for a delectable sweet that will have your sweet thinking you are:  a. thoughtful  b. a great cook  and c. not at all concerned with the size of their ass!

Following last year’s Easiest Cookies You’ll Ever Make, these bad boys are the easiest truffles you’ll ever make.

Three ingredients.  Minimal effort.  Maximum taste.

Just commit to having a little patience as they chill, and you’ll be good to go.

If you can find that lovely little container of chocolate disks that melts to perfection in the microwave – use it!  You’ll cut down on melting chocolate and the mess that follows after.

Warning – they are incredibly easy to consume in large quantities.  I’m not a big chocolate fan and I could have probably eaten a whole tray myself.

Ingredients:
1 package (18 oz) Oreo cookies
1 8 oz package cream cheese, softened
1 container Chocolate Melts

Directions:
In the bowl of a food processor, pulse the Oreo cookies until they are coarsely chopped.  Add cream cheese and continue to pulse until they are well-combined.

Roll into 1-inch balls and place on a parchment paper lined baking sheet.

Refrigerate until firm, 4 hours, or optimally, overnight.

Melt chocolate according to package.  Dip balls into chocolate and place on waxed paper lined trays to harden.

Chill and serve cold.

  1. Hey! So I am a college student and I was thinking do you think these would make it in a box for like 2 or 3 days? I was thinking of sending some to my friends and they are in different states.

    Thanks!

  2. Hello, this looks yummy.
Question. I live on a small island and I’m not sure what chocolate melts are. Haven’t seen them in our small store. Can you suggest something else to use for the coating? Maybe melted chocolate chips?
    Thanks

  3. so i tried it today and it came out great just a little too sweet for my taste but everyone in my family loves it thanks for the great idea

  6. I’ve been making these for years… You can use vanilla almond bark instead of look chocolate also.. I use mint Oreos and dabbled some peppermint extract with the almond bark and some green food color. Crushed up candy canes on top adds a little something extra. Also, golden Oreos with almond bark and crushed up walnut on top = DELICIOUS!

  9. This recipe works well for Nutter Butter cookies as well! Sub Nutter Butter for Oreos and softened peanut butter for cream cheese.
